Shipping cost is the hidden cost. The return fee of $2 makes it a buy it and keep it item. This case makes it very hard to get the phone to turn off when closed and there is no protection for the screen. It is a simple, slick case that grips well.
This seemed to help it "settle in" the skin. My complaint is that the skin makes it hard to use the side button for adjusting the ring volume. The negative reviews have a point: Unless this skin is fitted perfectly, it will tend to hold the lid open a tiny bit, waking up the phone and using battery. After "training" it a couple of nights, the phone seems now to stay closed in my pocket. They should have provided a cut-out for that button as well. I found that if I pushed and pulled the skin into just the right position the phone would shut. I then placed a rubber band around the phone at night while I charged it.
It also costs less than any of other cases I looked at. This is the best cell phone case I've ever used. It adds no bulk and the phone is fully functional with it on, so you never have to remove it.
Very notable decrease in battery life with this cover. Everytime it opens just a tad, the screen lights up, which uses the battery. This cover is thin and an excellent fit, but the design just doesn't work for the Katana's "open" range. Great idea but the execution doesn't work. The clamshell cover is a snug fit, but doesn't quite allow the clamshell to close so it sort of bounces open and closed.
